DATA READINESS / LOCAL FILE CHECK

Good decisions start with prepared data.

Describe what you have, get a preparation checklist, and check your CSV in this browser. No signup is needed. Your file stays on your device.

1. Describe your data

This checklist is a starting point for a review, not a guarantee that channel effects can be identified.

Is sales / conversion data available for the same periods?
Do channel spends change independently over time?
Do you track promotions, price or stockouts?

2. Your next steps

Resolve missing essentials first, then review assumptions and validation with an analyst.

    Download CSV template

Planning guidelines here: at least 12 months for daily / weekly data, preferably 24; at least 36 monthly observations. These are screening rules, not universal model requirements. More rows do not guarantee causal identification.

    3. Check a CSV on your device

For an aggregate wide table: one row per date, date as YYYY-MM-DD, one outcome column (revenue, conversions, kpi or sales), and channel columns ending in _spend. Regional panels need a separate geo-aware check.

Your file is read locally, never uploaded

CSV only · up to 2 MB / 50,000 rows / 256 columns · UTF-8, including BOM and quoted fields. File names and cell contents are not sent to analytics.

    Align time and units

Use one frequency, one timezone and one currency. Record zero spend as 0; leave unknown values empty instead of silently filling them.

    Preserve the business context

Include promotion intensity, price changes and stockout periods. Keep an untouched version of the source data.

    Plan validation before decisions

Reserve future periods for validation. Review channel co-movement and use suitable experiments to strengthen the evidence.
